Ronald W. Jones, 75, of Kincardine, died peacefully, June 13, 2022, after a 14-year battle with kidney cancer. He is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Joyce; and daughters, Kelly (Jeremy) Bowen and Kimberly Thompson; granddaughters, Emma and Marley Bowen; and grandsons, Drew, Kody and Jami Thompson. Born in Windsor, Ron graduated from St. Clair College in Windsor, on the Dean’s list, and then moved to Chalk River where he worked at the nuclear power plant for five years. He then relocated to Kincardine with his family to work at the Bruce Nuclear generating station. Ron retired in 2001 and formed his own consulting company that he ran until 2021. He was an avid car buff, hunter and fisherman. He was also a life member of the Safari Club International, NFA and Ducks Unlimited. He will be sorely missed by all. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be greatly appreciated. I’ve lived a life that’s full, I’ve travelled each and every highway, But more, much more than this, I did it my way. Regrets, I’ve had a few, But then again, too few to mention, I did what I had to do, And saw it through without exemption. I planned each charted course, Each careful step along the byway, And more, much more than this, I did it my way. |
