John “Jack” Cuyler Campbell of Kincardine and formerly of Point Clark, died at the South Bruce Grey Health Centre, Kincardine, Sunday, July 10, 2022, at the age of 82. Beloved husband of Linda Campbell (née Reid) for nearly 55 years. Jack is survived by his sister, Glenna (Ken) Farrell; and fondly remembered by his nephew, Todd (Stephanie) Farrell; nieces, Lisa (Ryan) Eyre and Liane (Justin) Greco; great-nephews, Geordie and Josh Farrell, and Jack Eyre; and great-nieces, Ava and Ashley Greco. He will be missed by his many other relatives, friends and neighbours. Predeceased by his parents, Glenn and Milena (née Cuyler) Campbell. For 26 years, Jack farmed near Amberley on the same farm as that of his parents. During that time, and in his quiet unassuming way, he held various positions with the Ripley Agricultural Society, the Pine River Cheese Factory Board, the Ontario Wheat Board, Hurontel, the Pine River Watershed Initiative Network, the Huron Fringe Naturalists and the Pine River United Church. After retiring, many happy years were spent living at Point Clark and later at Inverlyn Lake. Jack enjoyed his many hobbies but travelling was perhaps his favourite. He was known to have the next trip planned before the last one was completed. Visitation will be held at the Pine River United Church (2894 Concession 4, Ripley), Thursday, July 14, 2022, from 4-7 p.m., and Friday, July 15, from 11 a.m. to Noon, followed by the memorial service to honour Jack's life at 12:30 p.m. Reception will take place immediately following the service. Final resting place, Pine River United Church Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, memorial donations to the Pine River United Church, Kincardine and Community Health Care Foundation, Pine River Watershed Initiative Network, or the charity of your choice, would be appreciated; arrangements entrusted to the Davey-Linklater Funeral Home, Kincardine; www.daveylinklaterfuneralhome.com. |
