Thomas “Tom” Anthony Kennedy of Kincardine (formerly of Deep River), died peacefully, surrounded by family, Aug. 3, 2022, at the Maitland Manor Nursing Home, Goderich, in his 96th year. Predeceased by his daughter, Christine Irving. Lovingly remembered by his wife of 72 years, Eleonore; son, Kevin and his wife, Linda, their children Erica (Cory), Jordan (Anna), and Dean, and grandkids, Brandon, Jocelyn and Mya. Fondly remembered by Christine’s husband, Keith, his partner, Taina, their daughter, Alannah, and grandkids, Hudson and Henrick. Missed by close family friends, Linda and Stan Bowers. Tom connected with many people during his long happy life and marriage. He will be remembered by family and friends including those in Ireland, England and Germany. Born and raised in Mulingar, Ireland, one of 14 children, Tom joined the RAF and served in Germany and England before immigrating to Canada in 1957. He worked at INCO, Sudbury, then later Atomic Energy Canada, Deep River, as a machinist and engineering technician. Retiring in 1990, Tom moved his family to Kincardine. He was an avid and accomplished golfer throughout his life, enjoying winter retirement years in Lakeland, Florida (19 years). Cremation has taken place. A private family Celebration of Tom’s life will be held at a later date.
