Margot Ruth Hanks of Kincardine died suddenly at home Tuesday, Oct. 18, 2016, in her 78th year. Born in South Porcupine, Ontario, Nov. 27, 1938, she was the daughter of Max and Jessie (née Norman) MacKinnon. Beloved wife of Tom Hanks of Kincardine. Dear mother of Randall (Chris) Baker of Dornoch, and Lizanne (Willie) Campbell of Bridgetown, Nova Scotia. Loving Gubba of Rachael, Becky, Ben, Tristan and Sarah Baker, Daniel, Jessica and Alex Ogilvie, and Shona and Hamish Campbell. Missed by her four great-grandchildren, and son-in-law, Steve Ogilvie of Kincardine. Dear sister of Carole (“Q”) Egener of Goderich. Predeceased by her parents; daughters, Kim Ogilvie and Carole Hanks; son, John Christopher Hanks; and nephew, Chaley Egener. A graveside service to celebrate Margot’s life will take place at the Tiverton Cemetery, Tuesday, Oct. 25, 2016, at 11 a.m., with Rev. Kathy Fraser officiating. Memorial donations to the charity of your choice would be appreciated as expressions of sympathy.
