Lloyd Arnsby Buckingham, beloved husband for 65 years of the late Agnes Jean Buckingham (Dec. 30, 2022) died from a broken heart, at Pinecrest Manor, Lucknow, Monday, Feb. 20, 2023, in his 91st year. Born in Kincardine Aug. 25, 1932, he was the son of the late Helen and Leslie Buckingham. Dear father of Laurie (Randy) Alton, Brenda (Dale) Shewfelt, Tracey (Brad) Aitchison and Michael (Leanne) Buckingham. Greatly missed by his grandchildren, Kelsie (Ryan), Marlee (Ben), Jamie (Dakota), Logan (Emma), Riley (Matt), Erin (Nathaniel) and Zachary; and great-grandchildren, Crew, Harvey, Theodore and Brooks. Also survived by his brother, Kerry (Shirley) Buckingham; and brother-in-law, Jim MacKenzie. Predeceased by his two brothers, Clifford Buckingham and Francis Buckingham; and grandson, Nash Aitchison. Lloyd lived and worked in Kincardine until his retirement in 1997 when he and Agnes moved to Lucknow and became their grandchildren’s biggest fans, attending any sport they participated in. He was a life member of the Kincardine Kinsmen and was well-known as a baseball umpire. The family is very appreciative of the excellent care received at both Trillium Court Seniors’ Community in Kincardine and Pinecrest Manor in Lucknow. A public visitation will be held Saturday, Feb. 25, 2023, from 1-3 p.m. at the MacKenzie and McCreath Funeral Home, Lucknow, followed by a private family funeral. Spring interment, South Kinloss Cemetery.
