Jason Russell Troke of Kincardine, died suddenly, Friday, Feb. 24, 2023, at the age of 44. Remembered as a loving Dad to his son, Jaydon, and his mother, Tina. Cherished son of Roger and Sally (née Dunsmoor) Troke. Sadly missed by his brother, Shawn (Krista) Troke; and nephews, Nathan and Jordan. Many memories of Jason will remain with his aunts, Lynne, Debbie (John), Carol, Beverley (Wayne) and Cathy; uncles, David (Val) and Paul (Carol); cousins and friends. Predeceased by his grandparents, Norman and Norma Dunsmoor and Betty and Lorne Loree; and uncles, Douglas, Gary and Kenny. First and foremost, Jason was a loving father to his only son, Jaydon. He was a natural, gifted athlete who excelled at any sport he tried: soccer, bowling, baseball, golf, fishing and hiking. He also had a talent for music and the arts. To calm himself, he would sit and sketch. He danced like a pro and was self-taught on the drums. His passion for nature took him to the river where he and Jaydon would hunt morel mushrooms, turtles, salamanders, frogs and other wildlife to bring up the hill to the house. Those who dry-walled alongside him noted his knack for it and the artistry of his textured ceilings. Visitation will be held at the Davey-Linklater Funeral Home, Kincardine, Saturday, March 4, 2023, from 1-4 p.m. Final resting place, Kincardine Cemetery, Memorial donations to an Education Fund for Jaydon’s continuing studies (cheques payable to Jaydon Troke) or to the Homewood Health Centre, would be appreciated as expressions of sympathy. |
