James “Jim” Pannell of Kincardine died peacefully at his home, following a lengthy illness, surrounded by his loving family, Wednesday, Dec. 21, 2016, at the age of 80. Beloved husband of Linda Pannell. Dear father of Deborah Pannell (Wayne Burke) and Melissa (Anthony) Matthews, all of Kincardine. Loving “Pops” to Jess Curry, Kylee Curry (Evan Koller), Lily, Kate James and Ella Matthews. Survived by his brothers, Roy Pannell of Toronto and Walter (Marion) Pannell of New Liskeard; his sisters, Polly Ayotte of Brockville, Diane Paleczny of Alberta, and Lola Boucher of St. Catharines; and his sister-in-law, Susan Pannell of St. Catharines. Predeceased by his brothers, Jack, Russell and Dennis Pannell; and his sister, Alice Pannell. Sadly missed by his nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held at the Davey-Linklater Funeral Home, Kincardine, Tuesday, Dec. 27, 2016, from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. The funeral will be held at the Kincardine United Church, Wednesday, Dec. 28, 2016, at 1 p.m., with Crystal Morais officiating. Spring interment, Kincardine Cemetery. Memorial donations to Kincardine, Ainsdale, Somerhill or Blackhorse Junior Golf Programs or a charity of your choice, would be appreciated as expressions of sympathy.
