With a dump truck and a backhoe, he started Ken Jackson Construction in August, 1973. What started as a hobby, after working his shift at Ontario Hydro, turned into what Ken Jackson Construction is today. Ken’s company completed a number of projects in the area, including the construction of Huron Terrace and the reconstruction of Queen Street in 1995. Over the years, Ken was very generous with his time and equipment, sponsoring many local teams and events, and assisting many social and service organizations. He was a member of various associations and clubs, both locally and in Florida where he would spend the winter months. When not busy at the construction business, he enjoyed working on his vintage car and truck collection and spending time in the “Toy Box.” A celebration of life will be held at the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 183, Kincardine, Friday, March 24, 2023, from 1-5 p.m. Final resting place, Tiverton Cemetery.
