ISABELL MARIE McCONNELL (nee HUSK)

Isabell Marie McConnell (née Husk) of Kincardine Township, died surrounded by the love of her family, at her home, Sunday, March 19, 2023, in her 77th year. Loving wife of Norval McConnell for 56 years. Beloved mother of Shelly McConnell (Stephan), Wendy King (Paul), Karla McConnell and Troy McConnell (Jaclyn). Proud grandmother of Molly, Grace, Tessa, Graham, Reid, Payton, Isla, Meghan and Luke. Dear sister of Pat Hayes, Louise Bushell, Aileen Beninger (Ron), Janet McConnell, Larry Husk, Lorne Husk and Harvey Husk (Mae); and sister in-law, Alice Husk. Isabell will be fondly remembered by the McConnell family; Phyllis Metcalf, Glen McConnell, Norma McConnell, Kathaleen Dolson (Bob), Audrey Edisbury, Annetta Bandura (Edward), Sharon Williams, Ross Baptist and Mel McConnell (Elaine); as well as numerous nieces and nephews, extended family members, neighbours, and her community and friends. Predeceased by her parents, Melvin and Evelyn (née Jennings) Husk; brothers, Lloyd, Doug and Bill Husk; sisters, Marion Husk and Ivy Whittick (Everett); infant sister, Eva Mae; father- and mother-in-law, Mary and Russell McConnell; and in-laws, Harold Hayes, Willard Metcalf, Isabel McConnell, Orland McConnell (Jan), Calvin McConnell, Elwyn McConnell (Eleanor), Wray McConnell, Karl McConnell (Dorothy), Eric McConnell, Harvey Robinson, Joe Bandura, Harold Williams, and Margaret Baptist. Isabell loved her life on the farm and her cows. She enjoyed a good game of cards, the hummingbirds that gathered at her feeder, but most of all, she loved her family. Family will receive friends at the Davey-Linklater Funeral Home, Kincardine, Friday, March 24, 2023, from 11:30 a.m. until time of the memorial service at 12:30 p.m., with Ann Maycock officiating.
