Edward Victor “Ed” Kuratczyk of Kincardine died Friday, July 28, 2023, at University Hospital - London Health Sciences Centre, surrounded by family, at the age of 67. Beloved husband of Judy Kuratczyk (nee Paterson). Loving father of Karyn McIntyre (Klint), Jennifer Kuratczyk and Paul Kuratczyk (Adrienne). Proud papa of Oliver, Ben, Leni and Cameron. Fondly remembered by his in-laws; Sandra Murphy (Andy), John Paterson, Jane Browning (Doug), and Eileen Putnam. Predeceased by his parents, Michaelina (nee Rydelski) and Wiktor Kuratczyk; and brother, Chester. Ed was a chemical engineer with Bruce Power for 38 years. After a very brief retirement, he took on the position of president of Cedar Row, a consulting company. He loved life; he played tennis and Pickleball, enjoyed fishing, riding his bike and travelling. He had a huge garden, large enough for his family and then some. He had an interest in electronics, music and learning. Ed participated, shared his adventure with others, enjoyed life and loved his family and friends. He will be remembered and he will be missed. A memorial service, to honour Ed’s life, will be held at the Davey-Linklater Funeral Home, 757 Princes Street, Kincardine, Sunday, Aug. 13, 2023, at 1 p.m., with Celebrant Ann Maycock officiating. Immediately following the service, you are invited to join Ed’s family at the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 183, Kincardine, for a reception. Private family interment, Kincardine Cemetery.
