(HURON TWP, ON) – July 3, at 3:46 p.m., the South Bruce OPP was called to the scene of a single-vehicle crash along Sideroad 30 in Huron Township.
Officers attended with members of the Ripley-Huron Fire Department and Bruce County paramedics to find an orange Pontiac G6 had left the roadway and landed on its roof in a creek.
There were three occupants in the vehicle at the time. The rear seat passenger, a 53-year-old North Huron Township woman, was pronounced dead at the scene. The name is being withheld, pending next of kin notification.
Members of the OPP Technical Traffic Collision Investigation Unit and the Office of the Coroner are assisting the South Bruce OPP with this investigation.
Sideroad 30 has been closed at the scene of the crash for the protection of emergency responders. The co-operation of the public in avoiding the incident location is appreciated.
