Brussels man airlifted to London after two-vehicle crash near Ethel
Huron County OPP officers were on the scene investigating a two-vehicle crash that took place just east of Ethel, Monday morning, July 6.
 

Shortly before 6 a.m., officers from the Huron County OPP detachment, along with personnel from Huron County EMS and Huron East Fire Department responded to the crash scene located at Newry Road (Huron County Road 17) and Krauter Line.  
 

The preliminary investigation has determined the driver of a GMC Sierra pick-up truck was travelling southbound on Krauter Line when the vehicle entered into the intersection and collided with another GMC Sierra pick-up that was travelling eastbound on Newry Road.
 

The two occupants of the southbound pick-up were transported to a local hospital with minor injuries.
 

The driver of the eastbound pick-up truck, Stephen MACHAN, 47, of Brussels, was airlifted to hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries. 
 

Newry Road and Krauter Line were closed until noon Monday.
