Spirits of Ainsdale ladies only slighly dampened by weather Tuesday

The spirits of the Ainsdale ladies were only slightly dampened by the weather Tuesday, but they made up for lost time with their make-up round July 8 under sunny skies with some great scoring.  

Sharon MacDonald lit up the field for A flight with a blistering 40 on the front nine, followed by Marlene Morrow's 31.28 point total including a birdie 2 on No.8. 

 

The flight winners for Stableford points were:

  • A  Sharon MacDonald 32.38, 
  • B Jennifer Lawrie 28.94, 
  • C Marlene Morrow 31.28, 
  • D  Debbie Quinn 27.43, 
  • E  Marianne Irwin 20.94

 

The flight winners for low putts were:

  • A  Barb Grubb 14, 
  • B  Laura Haight 16, 
  • C  Janice Matchett 16, 
  • D  Beth Mimnagh 19, 
  • E  Marianne Irwin 20

 

The sponsored-hole winners for closest to the line were:  Nancy Turcotte,  Laura Haight,  Gail MacIntosh and Norma Jean Rhody. 

The longest drives were pounded by Sharon MacDonald,  Wendy Gardner,  Una MacDonald and Marianne Irwin. 

The winner of a Dairy Queen voucher for a free Blizzard was Anne Burton, while the closest to the sprinkler head went to Kim Catto.
