Kincardine resident questions Queen Street Promenade survey
To the Editor:
I believe there are fundamental issues with the way the survey, regarding the Queen Street Promenade in downtown Kincardine, has been handled.
Short-notice, issues with registration, and leading questions (e.g. lowest option for shopping downtown for one question was once a week, so does that imply those who shop downtown only twice a month shouldn't respond and don't matter?), all leave me without any confidence in this survey's results.
This is ostensibly for planning an event that's for our summer months. So, why do we need to rush to close the survey so quickly when we're not even at the end of February?
A less-trusting person may wonder if that's to allow those in the know to reply and push their own agenda to manufacture the appearance of consent before it becomes more widely known among the silent majority.
This decision feels as if it's being rammed through - why?
Sincerely,
Paul Kuratczyk
