Sad to see no recreational fishing on the pier in Kincardine

To the Editor:

It’s strange to look out my window and not see recreational fishing on the pier in Kincardine, or chat to a fisherman going by with his catch and a smile on his face.

I wonder if this is the first time the pier has been closed to fishing in the history of this once-vibrant commercial and recreational fishing locale.

Hmmm, what a shame!
