Kincardine issues boil-water advisory for area affected by watermain break
Kincardine has issued a precautionary boil-water advisory for the Kincardine residents affected by a watermain break in the Kuehner Street area Monday morning (July 27).

In a press release, chief administrative officer Murray Clarke says, "Now that the service has been restored, it is recommended that homeowners run the cold water tap that is closest to their feed coming into the house, for several minutes to remove discoloured water which is common after a loss of water."

As a precaution, the boil-water advisory has been issued for all residents of Inverhuron, including Inverhuron Park, and those residents from Lorne Beach to the south end of Kuehner Street. They are being asked to boil their water as a precaution until test results can confirm that the water is free of contamination. This may take several days. Residents will be advised through a media release when the advisory has been lifted.

A boil-water advisory means that water should be brought to a full rolling boil for at least one minute. The water should be boiled for drinking, brushing teeth and washing fresh produce. You can shower and do laundry as normal.
