(SOUTHERN BRUCE COUNTY, ON) – Results are in for the West Region OPP Holiday Weekend and the numbers are a reflection of the tragedies encountered over the weekend on our roadways.
Three motorcycle operators were killed in two separate collisions in Huron County on Sunday when bikes they were operating were struck by other vehicles. A third person on one of bikes is fighting for his life in a London hospital. None of the collisions was the fault of the bike operator.
OPP issued the following charges over the weekend:

Speeding 4, 446 979

Locally, South Bruce detachment officers issued 36 speeding tickets, two seatbelt tickets and charged one motorist with impaired driving over the Civic Holiday weekend.
“Sadly for some, these numbers don’t mean much until tragedy hits close to home," says chief superintendent J. Cain, West Region commander. "Safety can only be improved when everyone becomes part of the solution.”
