New cardiac monitors and telemetry system at Kincardine hospital
Through the support of the Kincardine and Community Health Care Foundation, the cardiac monitors and telemetry system at South Bruce Grey Health Centre’s Kincardine site have been upgraded to the Philips IntelliVue system.
The new technology features user‐friendly touch-screen monitors; large, rotating views of vital signs at the nurse’s station; wireless telemetry units that offer greater comfort for patients and flexibility for health care professionals; and ECG wave forms that rotate, adjust and display with the touch of a finger.
“We are very grateful to the foundation for its continued support,” says Kate Kincaid, director of patient care at the Kincardine hospital. “This state-of-the-art technology is a huge benefit for our staff and patients as we rely so heavily on our cardiac-monitoring system.”
The patient-monitoring system in the Emergency Department has also been upgraded through the support of the Kincardine hospital auxiliary.
