South Bruce OPP report alcohol charge; theft; cyclist hurt;  and mischief

DRIVER WILL TRY WALKING FOR THREE DAYS
 

(WALKERTON, ON) – Aug. 13, at 11:57 p.m., a South Bruce OPP officer on patrol along Jackson Street in Walkerton, stopped a black Ford F150 pick-up truck. 

The officer found that the driver had been drinking alcohol. A three-day driver’s licence suspension was served following a warn result at the roadside.
 

POLICE LOOKING FOR STOLEN ATV
 

(CARRICK TWP, ON) – Aug. 13, at 9:35 a.m., the South Bruce OPP received the report of a theft from a residence in the 300 block of Concession 4 in Carrick Township. 

Sometime between 5 p.m. Aug. 12, and 8 a.m. on August 13, a green 1998 Polaris Gen IV All-Terrain Vehicle (ATV) with licence No. SB130,  was taken, along with a large orange/white Stihl chainsaw, from an outbuilding on the property. There is no estimate on the value of the stolen property at this time.
 

POLICE INVESTIGATE CRASH INVOLVING CYCLIST
 

(BRUCE TWP, ON) – Aug. 12, at 6:16 p.m., the South Bruce OPP received the report of a collision involving a bicycle at the Inverhuron Provincial Park in Bruce Township. 

Officers arrived to find that a young cyclist had ridden into the path of a grey Toyota Tundra pick-up truck. The cyclist’s parent, a 35-year-old Ajax woman, was charged with Permit person under 16 to ride with no helmet. The youth received treatment at a local hospital for minor injuries. 
 

POLICE INVESTIGATING MISCHIEF TO SCHOOL
 

(PAISLEY, ON) – Aug. 12, at 3:03 p.m., the South Bruce OPP received the report of mischief at Paisley Central School located along Arnaud Street in Paisley. 

Sometime between 6 p.m. Aug. 11, and 6 a.m. Aug. 12, a school window was damaged by small projectiles similar to a BB. The value of the repair is estimated to be $500.
 

POLICE SEEKING WITNESSES TO MOTORCYCLE DAMAGE
 

(KINCARDINE, ON) – Aug. 9, at 3:47 p.m., the South Bruce OPP received the report of property damage to a motorcycle.

Between 12:15-3:30 p.m. Aug. 9, a black 2012 Ducati F84 motorcycle was parked and unattended when it was knocked over in a parking lot at Durham Street and Saugeen Street in Kincardine. The motorcycle was upright when the owner returned, but so heavily damaged that it couldn’t be operated. There is no estimate on the cost of repairs at this time.
