Huron Township man charged in head-on collision on Lake Range Drive

(HURON TWP, ON) – A Huron Township man has been charged, following the investigation into a head-on collision on Lake Range Drive, Huron Township, last month.

July 15, at 5:32 p.m., the South Bruce OPP was called to the accident scene where officers found that a southbound silver Chevrolet Impala had been in the northbound lane when it struck a northbound grey Ford Explorer. The driver of the Impala, Cody McPHERSON, 24, of Huron Township, was airlifted to a London hospital for treatment of life-threatening injuries.
 

The occupants of the Explorer, an 18-year-old North Perth man and a 17-year-old Huron East woman, were treated for serious, but non-life-threatening, injuries.
 

The OPP Technical Traffic Collision Investigation Unit assisted the South Bruce OPP with this incident, and the investigation culminated Aug. 13, with a criminal charge.

McPHERSON has been charged with dangerous driving. He is scheduled to appear in court Aug. 24, to answer to the charge.
