TIVERTON FALL FAIR

It’s time to think about what your Fair Display will be. The theme this year is "Sow It, Grow It, Show It". It’s open to any individual, business or family. The judging will take place on-site between Sept. 9-12. You can find a complete set of rules at www.tivertonagsociety.com page 26 or by phoning 519 368-7177.  You must pre-register by Sept. 9 no later than 6 p.m. by phoning the previous number or 519 368-7114.
 

The Tiverton Agricultural Society  is looking for contestants between the ages of 17-23 who are interested in competing for the title of Tiverton Fall Fair  Ambassador. The Tiverton Fall Fair takes place Oct. 2-4. If interested in participating in the competition or for more information, contact Laurie Convay at  519-368-7980.

INVERHURON AND DISTRICT RATEPAYERS' ASSOCIATION (IDRA) Annual General Meeting, Saturday, Sept. 5, 10 a.m. to Noon, in McIntyre Park (Lower). If bad weather, AGM will be moved to Tiverton’s Lions Hall. To have an item added to the agenda for the annual meeting, it must be submitted in writing a week in advance of the meeting to any director or E-mailed to idraagm@inverhuronrate.com
 

The 18th Annual Corn Roast will be held Saturday, Sept. 5, at McIntyre Park. The entertainment will be provided by Sarah Smith. Barbecue starts at 5 p.m.; band starts at 7:30 p.m. There will be trivia game prizes. Rain location TBD.

MANOR MUSINGS
 

Tiverton Park Manor staff and residents thank the Kincardine Scottish Pipe Band for entertaining us with the band practice. Residents look forward to this every year and the chill in the evening air didn’t keep them from bundling up and coming outside.
