Long-time waitress, restaurant owner in Kincardine dies at the age of 63

Long-time waitress and restaurant owner in Kincardine, Emily MacGregor, has died at the age of 63.

She died peacefully at her home, surrounded by family, Wednesday, Sept. 16, after a brief battle with cancer.

Beloved wife of the late Stephen MacGregor.

Cherished mother of Christine and Stéphane of Ottawa, Calvin and Alicia of Kingston and Stacy and Jeremy of Kincardine.

Missed by her grandchildren, Elise, Hamish, Justin, and Agnes; siblings, Severin, Marcel and Linda, Peter and Bernice, Alphonse and Sylvia, Sylvia and Albert, Yvette and Tommy, and their families.

She worked as a server in Kincardine and went on to own and operate Emily's in downtown Kincardine for awhile.

A celebration of her life will be held at her home at 441 Queen Street, Kincardine, Saturday, Sept. 19, from 3-5 p.m.

Arrangements entrusted to the Davey-Linklater Funeral Home, Kincardine.
