Former KTTPS teacher, Huron Heights vice-principal Katherine McFadden dies
With heavy hearts, the family of Katherine McFadden announces her death, Saturday, Sept. 19, 2015, at the London Health Sciences Centre.
Survived by her loving husband of 32 years, Sam; her sons, Alex (Rebecca, and grandson, Benjamin), and Doug (Lauren); and daughter, Rebecca. Katherine is also lovingly remembered by her parents, Ken and Phyllis, her five brothers and sisters along with their partners, her parents-in-law, Fran and Vern, Sam’s brothers and sister and their partners, and her many, many nieces and nephews.

Katherine grew up in Alberta and, with her eagerness to travel, she proudly graduated from the University of St. Andrews, Scotland. She and Sam met in Victoria and married in Edmonton. They settled in Kincardine to raise their family.
She enjoyed her teaching career and partaking in various church and community activities. She will be remembered by her many friends and family for her fun, vibrant, can-do attitude.
A celebration of Katherine’s life will be held Thursday, Sept. 24, 2015, at 11 a.m., at Kincardine Baptist Church.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Katherine’s name to the London Regional Cancer Program (http://www.lhsf.ca) or the Tusk Trust (http://www.tusk.org/index/uk), which the family felt was appropriate as Katherine had a love for elephants and a continued interest in all things to do with the Royal Family.
Arrangements entrusted to the Davey-Linklater Funeral Home, Kincardine.
