Great weather, good crowd for final Cruise Night in downtown Kincardine
The weather was good and a solid crowd turned out for the final Cruise Night in downtown Kincardine, Friday, Sept. 4.
Queen Street was again lined with vintage and fancy vehicles of every description, and Harbour Street saw lots of motorcycles parked against the curb.
Of note, were a Chrysler Dodge 300 touring sedan, a 1962 Studebaker Gran Turismo Hack owned by Eric Miller of Nile, a 1973 Jaguar Series 3 E-type owned by Janis and Bob Kenzie of Kitchener-Waterloo, and a 1977 Corvette owned by Shawn Watson of Auburn.
Mary and Michael Allen of Tiverton also had their twin 1995 Ford Mustangs on display at the event.
Jim Mimnagh of Kincardine won the 50-50 draw, with red ticket No. 0765111, taking home a whopping $1,315. Proceeds from the draw go to the Kincardine and Community Health Care Foundation.
Albert Middlekamp and Betty Jean Petteplace of Trillium Court Seniors' Community, Kincardine, were the lucky winners of the throw, donated by Jerome Flowers and Gifts. The foundation was running a raffle lottery from May to end of Cruise Night to promote the foundation and the hospital. The funds raised from the raffle will be applied to the Radiothon.
