“Messiah” returns to Knox Presbyterian Church, Kincardine

Members of Orchestra Grey Bruce and the Saugeen County Chorus are delighted to present their 22nd live performance of Handel’s “Messiah” at Knox Presbyterian Church, 345 Durham St., Kincardine, Saturday, Dec. 17, at 7 p.m.
This will be the first in-person “Messiah” concert since 2019, after the past two years were cancelled, due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
The concert is an annual fund-raising event for the Kincardine Summer Music Festival.
Robert Tite will direct the performance, featuring four fabulous soloists: Nicole Reid, soprano; Gena van Oosten, alto; Matt Chittick, tenor; and Aaron Dimoff, bass baritone.
The orchestra will be led by violinists Jeremy Potts and Reanne Kruisselbrink, Rob Davidson on viola and Bryan Holt on cello.
Special soloists are Shawn Spicer and Ken Baldwin on trumpet, and Laura McAlpine on organ.
Approximately 50 singers and 32 orchestral players plan to perform.
This will be a terrific event, guaranteed to lift your spirits!
This performance is dedicated to the memory of Saugeen County Chorus members Hilery McAlpine and Harold Tuck.
Tickets are $25 each; available through Wilder and Rain Flowers, Accents and Stilara in Kincardine, on-line at TicketScene, through any orchestra or chorus member, and at the door. Youth, aged 16 and under, admitted free!
