Cold, windy day for a fall fair parade in Tiverton
It was a cold, windy day for the Tiverton Fall Fair parade, Saturday afternoon, but at least there was no rain or snow for the event.
The Tiverton fire truck led the parade from Patterson Park through downtown Tiverton to the fairgrounds. The vehicles and floats then carried on to the Tiverton Sports Centre, rather than stop at the fairgrounds this year.
Despite the chilly weather, it was a great parade, with the Teeswater Highlanders Pipe Band, the Craig Family float and the Convay Family float, several commercial floats, Kincardine Guiding, a delightful Buddy Bike ridden by Tiverton Lions Brent Crawford and Hank Van Moorsel, Buttons the Clown, the Tiverton firefighters, Tiverton Minor Hockey, the Tiverton Fall Fair ambassador and her fellow contestants, and the Princess of the Fair, as well as politicians and Huron-Bruce federal election candidates.
More coverage of the Tiverton Fall Fair to follow, in the Kincardine Record.
