Natural gas project open houses begin Oct. 15
Public open houses begin tonight (Oct. 15) for the proposed construction of a natural gas line by EPCOR Utilities Inc. of Edmonton.
Announced Sept. 21, the project would see natural gas service extended into the municipalities of Kincardine, Huron-Kinloss and Arran-Elderslie, with construction slated to begin by late 2016 or early 2017.
EPCOR was selected, following a six-month competitive Request for Information process that identified multiple potential developers to construct, own and operate a new natural gas distribution utility.
The public is invited to attend any of the following open houses:
- Thursday, Oct. 15, from 6:30-9 p.m., Chesley Community Centre; formal presentation to be made at 7 p.m.
- Friday, Oct. 16, from 5-8 p.m., Ripley-Huron Community Centre; formal presentation at 7 p.m.
- Saturday, Oct. 17, from 1-4 p.m. at the Kincardine Municipal Administrative Centre, formal presentation at 1:30 p.m.
