“Birds and Fish” is next print in Kincardine Hospital Auxiliary fund-raiser
“Birds and Fish,” by First Nation artist Jim Oskineegish, is the next print in the South Bruce Grey Health Centre - Kincardine Hospital Auxiliary's Art/Easel Program fund-raiser.
On display at Sobeys Kincardine, this print, featuring seven birds and one fish, is painted in bold colours and Oskineegish tries to achieve a balance of colour and feeling. He paints his dreams and visions, and wishes that his art can help another human in some way.
The second print on display at Sobeys, is entitled “Coastal Scene,” by Nova Scotian artist Maud Lewis. It features a schooner boat at low tide in the Bay of Fundy. Lewis painted her seascapes in her own unique way that were simple but colourful.
The print at the Kincardine Hospital is entitled, “Toronto Maple Leaf Stanley Cup Dynasty.”
The print at Rona Kincardine is entitled, “Connor Bedard First Goal Collage.”
The print at Boston Pizza in Kincardine is entitled, “Elvis.”
The starting bid for each print is $200, and they are on display until Tuesday, July 23.
