Bruce County, Kincardine partner to help more children participate in activities
Bruce County has entered a partnership with the Municipality of Kincardine which provided an additional $5,000 of funding to the county’s Child Activity Assistance Program. The county will distribute these additional funds to Kincardine families through the program which supports families across the county.

When fees are a barrier for activities and programming, the assistance program can help give children the opportunity to participate. The program is a fund that assists families with the cost of activities, such as school trips, school nutrition programs, camps, extra-curricular activities, arts and cultural programs, Guides/Scouts, etc.

This subsidy is available for dependent children, living at home, who are under the age of 18. The maximum program funding is $500/year, per child.

"Bruce County is pleased to partner with the Municipality of Kincardine in supporting activity subsidy for local children,” said Wendy Woods, business and human services integration manager. “The county’s human services department is here to help guide families through the subsidy application process.”
