Kincardine Lions Club honours members with awards presentation

The Kincardine and District Lions Club gathered for its first business meeting of the new fiscal year, and presented several awards to deserving members.
Lions Past-Zone Chairman Paul Kozma presented a Lions Clubs International Gold Key Award to Dianne Pennington for sponsoring a new member during International’s 100th anniversary.

Kozma also presented Lions Clubs International continuous service Chevrons to Lions Ken Fair (30 years) and Marty Cahill (10 years).

As these Lions were busy volunteering at another event when the Ontario Volunteer Service Awards were presented in June, Lion secretary George Ling presented the awards to Peter Morris (40 years), Eian Farrell (15 years), and Paul Thompson (10 years) who also accepted for Joan Thompson (five years) as she was absent.

Past-president Frank Bianco presented immediate past-president Ian Allingham with a president’s award for his year at the club’s helm.

And Lion Paul Kozma was presented with a Melvin Jones Fellowship by immediate past-president Ian Allingham. This is one of the highest awards available from Lions Clubs International and indicates years of dedicated service to the organization.
