Balmy evening for Kincardine Santa Claus Parade
It had to be the warmest evening in years for a Kincardine Santa Claus Parade, and with nary a flake of snow in the sky.
The annual Chamber of Commerce event Saturday night, saw plenty of entries, including businesses, groups and organizations, with lights and music and dancing. The parade travelled from the No Frills parking lot to downtown Kincardine, ending at Victoria Park.
Santa Claus then greeted the children in the Scougall Gallery.
The theme of this year's parade was Ugly Christmas Sweater, and there were plenty.
The crew from Jean's Family Restaurant went one step further, dressing as breakfast, complete with toast, hashbrowns, eggs and bacon. Stop in at Jean's and get a cupcake and coffee, with a donation to Big Brothers and Big Sisters of Kincardine and District, until Monday, Dec. 7. Jean's also has $3.69 breakfast (three eggs with ham or sausage or bacon, homefries and toast) all day Tuesdays; and senior's specials on Wednesdays, 4-8 p.m., for $7.
