Donations presented, and roadside clean-up completed
Local organizations have been busy over the past couple of weeks, presenting donations and completing a roadside clean-up.
Oct. 1, representatives of Kincardine Pride presented a donation of $1,000 to the Kincardine Lions All-Wheel Park project, in appreciation of the Lions Club’s ongoing participation in the annual Pride celebration.

Sept. 27, the Offanto Preceptory, a Masonic organization also known as Knights Templar which meets at the Masonic Hall in Port Elgin, presented a $1,000 donation to Women’s House Serving Bruce and Grey.
At each of the Knights Templar meetings, alms are collected which are designated toward helping women and children.

And members of the Probus Club of Kincardine were busy last week, completing their semi-annual roadside clean-up along the B-line (Bruce County Road 23).
The club has maintained the road for the past 18 years as a service to the community. The amount of refuse collected in the clean-up has greatly diminished over the years. Kudos to the citizens of Kincardine.
