IMPAIRED DRIVER FACING DAY IN COURT
(KINCARDINE TWP, ON) – Dec. 5, at 3:57 p.m., the South Bruce OPP received the report of erratic driving involving a white Ford F150 on Highway 9 in Kincardine Township.
Officers located the truck and found that the driver had been drinking alcohol. Thirty-seven-year old Andrew SHERK of Flamborough Township has been charged with impaired driving, operate over-80 milligrams, dangerous driving and drive with open liquor. He is scheduled to appear in court Jan. 6, 2016, to answer to the charges.
DRUG CHARGES ISSUED AT RIDE CHECK
(KINCARDINE, ON) – Dec. 6, at 4:27 p.m., members of the South Bruce OPP were conducting a RIDE check on Russell Street in Kincardine when a black Nissan Pathfinder was stopped.
Officers found a quantity of illegal street drugs in the vehicle. Thirty-nine-year old Jamie CAMPBELL of Kincardine was charged with two counts of possessing a controlled substance. He is scheduled to appear in court Jan. 20, 2016, to answer to the charges.
POLICE INVESTIGATING OVERNIGHT BREAK IN
(KINCARDINE, ON) – Dec. 8, at 4:38 a.m., the South Bruce OPP received the report of a break-in at the Sugar Shack Tattoo parlour located in the 700 block of Queen Street, Kincardine.
Sometime between 4-4:35 a.m., Dec. 8, the business was forcibly entered through the front door. The list of stolen property includes a new metallic grey iPod, a black second generation iPod and some loose change. There is no estimate available at this time on the cost of repairs.
BONES FOUND IN TEESWATER ARE HISTORIC; NO FOUL PLAY SUSPECTED
(TEESWATER, ON) – Bones found in Teeswater back in the summer, are historic and no foul play is suspected.
Aug. 6, at 1:36 p.m., the South Bruce OPP received the report of found bones at a property in the 1200 Block of Bruce County Road 6 in the Village of Teeswater.
The South Bruce OPP, South Bruce OPP Crime Unit and the OPP Forensic Identification Unit investigated, under the direction of detective inspector Heidi Stewart of the OPP Criminal Investigation Branch, with the assistance of a forensic anthropologist.
The found bones have been determined to be historical in nature. Foul play is not suspected. This is an isolated event; there is no threat to public safety.
