South Bruce OPP report theft; impaired driver; and downtown Kincardine break-ins

ALARM ALERTS POLICE TO THEFT
 

(BRUCE TWP, ON) – Dec. 9, at 12:34 a.m., members of the South Bruce OPP responded to an alarm at Tennyson’s Motorized Fun along Highway 21 in Bruce Township. 

Officers arrived to find a theft had been attempted. A Polaris All-Terrain Vehicle (ATV) was moved, but recovered on the property.    
 

IMPAIRED DRIVER STOPPED AT RIDE CHECK
 

(KINCARDINE, ON) – Dec. 8, at 10:08 p.m., members of the South Bruce OPP were conducting a RIDE check on Russell Street in Kincardine when a black Ford F150 pick-up truck was stopped. 

Officers found that the driver had been drinking alcohol. Forty-year-old James BELL of Kincardine was charged with operate over-80 milligrams. He is scheduled to appear in court Jan. 20, 2016, to answer to the charge.
 

POLICE INVESTIGATING COMMERCIAL BREAK-INS
 

(KINCARDINE, ON) – Dec. 8, the South Bruce OPP received reports of two commercial break-and-enters in the business section of Queen Street, in downtown Kincardine.
 

At 8:50 a.m., a break-in was discovered at the Harbour Rose Boutique, located in the 700 block of Queen Street, Kincardine. There is no identified missing property at this time; and there is no estimate on the cost of repairs.
 

At 7:26 a.m., a break-in was discovered at the Sunset Grill located in the 800 block of Queen Street, Kincardine. A quantity of cash was taken from the business. There is no estimate on the cost of repairs at this time.
 

The OPP Forensic Identification Unit is assisting the South Bruce OPP with these incidents.
