Kincardine Bulldogs notch two wins, one loss on the weekend

The Kincardine Bulldogs notched two wins and one loss in PJHL action on the weekend.
The ‘Dogs travelled to Walkerton, Friday night, and trounced the Capitals, 7-4.
Scoring for Kincardine, were Carter Servais with two, and singles from Dustin Heipel, Jordan Moulton, Sawyer Olmstead, Caeleb Bowler, and Chad Lawrence.
Assists went to Keaton Vander Hoek, Maddox Burgess, Cooper Love, Blake Hellyer, Aiden Yarde, Austin Dunlop, Olmstead, Bowler and Moulton.
‘Dogs goalie Rowen Cherrett made 28 saves on 32 shots.
Saturday night, the Bulldogs hosted Goderich at the Davidson Centre, and edged the Flyers, 4-3, in a shoot-out.
Kincardine opened the scoring early in the first on a goal by Lawrence from Bowler. Goderich tied it up minutes later, but Bryce Martin put the ‘Dogs in the lead again, assisted by Bowler and Moulton.
Goderich made it a 2-2 game early in the second frame, before Yarde put Kincardine ahead, 3-2. But Goderich tied it up again, at 3-3, before the end of the period.
Both teams had solid scoring chances, but the game remained tied at the end of regulation time, forcing it into overtime. After a scoreless overtime, the match went into a shoot-out, which Kincardine won, on a goal by Yarde.
Bulldogs goalie Ryan Tanner made 50 saves on 53 shots.
Kincardine rounded out the weekend by travelling to Fergus, Sunday afternoon, and limping home with a 10-3 loss.
Scoring for the ‘Dogs, were Cole Kuipers from Moulton; Servais from Bowler and Moulton; and Bowler from Martin and Yarde.
Kincardine goalie Tanner made 24 saves on 29 shots, while his colleague, Cherrett, made 21 saves on 26 shots.
The Bulldogs have two home games next weekend, hosting Goderich at the Davidson Centre in Kincardine, Friday night, Nov. 1, at 8:30 p.m.; and Mount Forest, Saturday night, Nov. 2, at 7:30 p.m.
