The Ripley Wolves scored three third-period goals before Ethan Skinner sealed it with a beauty in overtime, in a 5-4 come-from-behind win over Georgian Bay, Saturday night, at the Ripley Arena.
The Wolves trailed 4-1 after two periods but stormed back in the final frame, with Gerritt Satosek tying it, with just 1:29 left in regulation.
Goals were scored by Satosek (2), Garrett Meurs, and Skinner also with two, including the game-winner on a one-on-one toe drag and laser over the goalie's right shoulder in the extra five.
Assists went to Evan Visser, Jarred Colling, Brett Catto, Cody Britton, Hayden Allen, Rob White, Dan Nicoloff, Tyler McCarthy, and Meurs.
Ripley goalie Garrett Golley shut Georgian Bay out in the third period while his teammates closed the gap, and earned the win in the Wolves net.
Ripley is now 5-0 on the season.
Thanks to the Under-7 hockey players who put on a great show after the first period, and to sponsors Kempton Construction, Lippert Trucking, and Presto Crest.
The Wolves head to Durham Saturday, Nov. 16, for a 7:30 p.m. puck drop against the Thundercats. They're on the road until Dec. 8, when they'll host Creemore for a Sunday afternoon tilt.
