Nolan King, 14, of Kincardine has been named the 2024 Supreme Champion by the Pipers and Pipe Band Society of Ontario.

Last year, he decided he wanted to compete as a soloist at Scottish Festivals in Ontario. He began competing this year and went to five events throughout the province, including the Kincardine Scottish Festival and Highland Games.

He received four first-place medals and one second-place medal, earning him the title of Supreme Champion for light music, Grade 5 youth.

The Pipers and Pipe Band Society of Ontario held its annual gala in Hamilton, Nov. 23, where Nolan received his award.

Congratulations, Nolan!
