Kincardine Legion Corner
Snow, snow, snow! Hope everyone is staying warm and taking care of their lower backs while shovelling.
Lois Dwan won $2,287 in the
Catch the Ace draw. She chose Envelope No. 12 which revealed the Four of Clubs. We have two more draws in 2024, and Catch the Ace tickets make great early Christmas presents! Russ did well in his first-ever ticket pull - maybe we will let him do it again sometime!
At the
Saturday Meat Draw, there were no double-dippers, but we did have some winners with the same last names. Congratulations to Scott Allen, Hailey Allen, Lynn Dodman and Ross Dodman. Jon Shaw took home $140 in the 50/50 draw; congratulations, Jon!
The Legion’s annual
Lulu’s Band Hootenanny Saturday night saw a huge crowd despite the snowy weather. Everyone had a fantastic time, and the dance floor was packed all night.

The
Mega Meat Draw will be this Saturday, Dec. 7, from 3-7 p.m., with entertainment provided by the Midnight Special Duo, and chicken wings and fries for snacks. In addition to the usual meat to be won (eight draws), there will also be eight draws for turkeys. Please note: there will be no Meat Draws, Dec. 21 or Dec. 28.
This Sunday, Dec. 8, is the
Legion’s Veterans Christmas Dinner, and we hope to share some photos in next week’s Legion Corner.
Darts update: Branch 183’s dart players placed third out of nine teams in the tournament in Brussels. The team moves onto District play in Hespeler, Jan. 11. Good luck to Jake Colley, Keith Colley, Dan Van DerVeeken and Steve Musselman.
