Ripley Wolves down Lucknow Lancers, 4-0
The Ripley Wolves will enter 2025 with a perfect 13-0 record and a three-point lead atop the Ontario Elite Hockey League standings, after a 4-0 win over the Lancers, in Lucknow, Saturday night.
The Wolves controlled the play throughout the game, out-shooting the Lancers, 39-15, with goals from Gerrit Satosek, Tyson Soers, Garrett Meurs, and Dan Nicoloff.
Assists went to Cody Britton (2), Todd Hellyer (2), Kaden Hoggarth, Alex Kuntz, Soers and Nicoloff.
Goalie Jason Hamilton was perfect when called upon in the Wolves net for his first shut-out of the season. Hamilton leads all goaltenders with more than two games played with a sparkling .940 save percentage.

The win also means the Wolves are the first team to clinch a playoff berth, according to the OEHL's social media account.
The Wolves have a big weekend to kick off the new year. They travel to Saugeen Shores to face the 9-8 Winterhawks, Friday, Jan. 3, at 8:30 p.m.; and head to Palmerston, Saturday, Jan. 4, to face the defending champion 81s, at 8 p.m.
The Wolves return home Saturday, Jan. 11, to take on the Milverton Four Wheel Drives, with the puck-drop at 7 p.m.
