Ripley Wolves remain undefeated, grabbing two more wins on the weekend
The Ripley Wolves won two more games on the weekend to improve to 16-0 on the season and increase their lead to five points over second-place Seaforth (while still holding a game in hand).

Friday night in Thornbury, against the Georgian Bay Applekings, it took an Ethan Skinner hat-trick and a short-handed goal by Jarred Colling, with a minute left in the third period, to break the tie and give the Wolves the 5-4 win.

Dan Nicoloff had the other Wolves goal, while assists went to Todd Hellyer (2), Pat Looby and Nicoloff.

Goalie Jason Hamilton stopped 21 of 25 shots for the win in the Wolves net.

Saturday night, at home to the second-to-last-place Milverton Four Wheel Drives, the Wolves exploded for five unanswered goals in the third period to turn a bit of a nail-biter into a victory in front of a huge crowd.

Brett Catto, Evan Visser and Cody Britton all had two goals apiece, while singles came from Hellyer and Looby.

Assists went to Tyson Soers (2), Looby (2), Britton (2), Kaden Hoggarth, Ryan Dudgeon, Mike Howes, Hellyer, Skinner, and Looby.

Goalie Garrett Golley stopped 26 of 28, including a number of big stops in the second period when the game was close.

The next test for Ripley's perfect record will be Saturday night in Seaforth against the second-place Centenaires, with puck drop at 7:30 p.m.

The Wolves return to the Ripley Arena, Sunday, Jan. 19, for a 3 p.m. matinee against the Durham Thundercats. It's Tyke Night, so come cheer on our future Wolves after the first period!
