Registration for Lakeshore Triathlon opens Feb. 1
The much-anticipated Lakeshore Triathlon in Saugeen Shores is back, and registration opens Feb. 1, at 10 a.m. Participants can register via the website at
lakeshoretri.com.
This year’s race will take place Saturday, July 19, at 8:30 a.m.
The event website has been been updated with a comprehensive “Frequently-asked Questions” section to assist both race participants and volunteers with common questions. Please check it out for all the essential information.
Race director Sarah Foster says volunteers are being sought to support the triathlon. Stay tuned for more details on how you can get involved and help make this event a success.
New this year, participants have the opportunity to fund-raise for the organizations supported by the triathlon.
“During registration, you can either choose to make a donation yourself or create a fund-raising page to raise additional funds,” says Foster. “The organizations we support are: Women's House Serving Bruce and Grey, Bruce Shrine Club, and Kaebashiwim Respite Women's Shelter on the Saugeen First Nation.
“We are currently seeking sponsorship to support the event. Specifically, we are looking for local businesses interested in contributing to welcome baskets for the race officials on race weekend.
