​Ripley Wolves clinch first overall, with 18-0 on the season
The Ripley Wolves won both games on the weekend to move to 18-0 on the season and clinch first place overall in the Ontario Elite Hockey League.

The Wolves travelled to Seaforth, Saturday night, to face the Centenaires and came home with two points after taking a 5-3 win.

Dawson Fahrer netted two goals, while singles were scored by Cody Britton, Derek Skinner and Dan Nicoloff.

Assists went to Garrett Meurs (2), Todd Hellyer, Derek Skinner, Ethan Skinner, Tyson Soers, Alex Kuntz, Gerrit Satosek and Pat Looby.

Goalie Jason Hamilton got the win, stopping 26 shots.

Sunday afternoon, the Wolves hosted the Durham Thundercats in the Den and trounced the ‘Cats, 8-3.

Garrett Meurs, Todd Hellyer, and Cody Britton led the way, with each getting two goals and two assists. Ethan Skinner notched two goals and one assist. Drew Davidson, Dan Nicoloff, and Tyson Soers chipped in two assists each. Logan Swanton, Dawson Fahrer, and Pat Looby got on the scoresheet with one assist each, as well.

Garrett Golley took the win between the pipes and stopped 25 shots.

The Wolves finish up the regular season next weekend with two games. Friday night, they take on the Minto-Mapleton 81s in Palmerston at 8:30 p.m.; and they host the Saugeen Shores Winterhawks, at the Ripley Arena, Saturday night, at 7 p.m.

Come and cheer on the Wolves as they look to continue their winning ways heading into the playoffs.
