Kincardine U13, U15 hockey teams win WOAA, advance to OMHA finals
It was an exciting weekend of hockey for the Kincardine Kinucks as both the Tier 1 Under-13 and Under-15 teams claimed the Western Ontario Athletic Association (WOAA) championship, securing top spot over Arran-Elderslie, each with an impressive two-game sweep.

The U13 Kinucks secured their championship with a 2-0 win. The team displayed strong, disciplined play throughout the game, with goals scored by Braedy Collins and Carson Tout.

Goaltender Lincoln Coutts was a brick wall in net, earning his 17th shut-out of the season. The victory was a true team effort, with every player contributing to the hard-fought win.

The U15 Kinucks capped off their series with an exciting 6-5 overtime win. The game was a roller-coaster of back-and-forth goals across all three periods, with the Kinucks benefiting from a solid performance in net by goalie Ben White.

A crucial late goal in the third period by Arran-Elderslie sent the game into overtime. In a nail-biting finish, Tucker McKenzie was quick to answer, netting the game-winning goal and earning a hat-trick. The entire team showed incredible determination and resilience throughout the series.

Both Kincardine teams now advance to the OMHA championship tournament in Halton Hills, April 4-6. Best of luck to all the players and coaches!
