Municipal parking lot lines in Kincardine to be fixed
If you’ve tried parking in the Kincardine municipal lot east of Queen Street, behind the banks, you’ve likely found it confusing.

The yellow lines, indicating the parking spots, are overlapping, indicating twice as many spaces, but half the size.

Adam Weishar, director of infrastructure and development, says the municipality revised the accessible parking spaces in that lot last year, based on dialogue with the accessibility advisory committee.

The municipal workers blacked out some lines last year, but it appears that must have come off during the winter, says Weishar. “Our paint crew will address that this spring, again, so it is clearer for users of the lot.”

I have wondered why there is incompetence about parking space width, placement of handicap symbols on municipal property, and public spaces such as The Pavilion parking lot. Take a look at the parking lines by the lawn bowing grounds, Painted and corrected within the same season.
