Wednesday was
Vimy Ridge Day, and our Legion Colour Guard held a commemoration ceremony at the Kincardine Cemetery, where the flags were placed at half-mast in honour of this historic day. The first draw of the next round of
Catch the Ace will be held Wednesday, May 7. Tickets will go on sale April 23, two weeks before the first draw. Let’s start off big - tickets will be for sale on-line and in all of our wonderful in-person locations.
At the
Saturday Meat Draw, we had eight distinct winners with no double-dippers. The 50/50 draw winner was Jamie White who took home $208.50. Congratulations to all the winners! Look ahead and mark May 3 on your calendar, as that is our next Mega Meat Draw, with Hwy 19 providing the entertainment.
Branch 183 was very pleased to add some further support to the
Kinetic Knights Robotics Team, FRC Team 781, with a donation of $10,000! This will help the team with the registration fee as the Kinetic Knights have qualified for the FIRST World Championships in Houston, Texas, next week. Congratulations on making it to worlds, and good luck!

Our
Branch 183 darts players put forth a great effort at the seniors provincial tournament at Branch 317, London, Saturday. They gave it their all, but unfortunately, did not advance into the playoff rounds.

This weekend, Branch 183 is hosting the
District “C” Spring Convention, April 12-13. We have arranged entertainment for both the Friday and Saturday nights, and these events are open to EVERYONE - not just convention attendees. So, please join us for some great music, all for free!
- Friday, April 11 – TNT Boom – 7-10 p.m. in the hall
- Saturday, April 12 – Greg Pahl – 6-7 p.m. in the clubroom and then 8-10 p.m. in the hall
Don’t forget about the
Mudmen Concert, April 26. Tickets are going fast now and are on sale at the Legion bar. Get your friends organized and get your tickets soon!
Volunteer opportunities at the Legion - We are currently looking for help in a few areas. We are looking for volunteers for our Canada Day celebration, and we need a few back-up Bingo callers for Thursday Night Bingo. If you would like to help out, you can message us via DM on our Facebook Page, or feel free to send an E-mail to
kinlegion@bmts.com and we can forward it along to Teri (for Canada Day) or Marty (for Bingo). Any questions at all, just reach out!
Branch elections will soon be here - If any members wish to put their names forward for a position on the Branch 183 Executive, write your name on the board in the front hall of the branch. Elections will be held at the General Membership Meeting, Sunday, April 27, at 2 p.m.
