​Yard waste depots now open in Huron-Kinloss

Effective Friday (April 11), two yard waste depots have opened in Huron-Kinloss Township.

They are located at:
 

• Huron Yard Waste Depot: just east of the landfill at 2083 Concession 6 E
• Lucknow Yard Waste Depot: 907 Havelock St., just south of the soccer fields

Both sites are open from now until mid-November, weather dependent. The sites are open 24 hours per day, seven days per week.

These depots accept grass, leaves, and garden clippings in paper bags, as well as brush, and small branches under six inches in diameter.

Contractor loads and large loads of loose leaves should be taken to the Huron Landfill on days that it is open, Tuesdays, Fridays, and Saturdays, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., year-round.

Absolutely NO logs or stumps, household garbage, plastic bags, or construction materials permitted. Abuse of these facilities may result in the removal of the depots.
