Isabel Riendeau of Ripley dies at the age of 91
Isabel Dorothy Riendeau of Ripley, and formerly Kincardine, died Friday, May 9, 2025, with family by her side, at the age of 91.
Loving mother of Denis (Sherry) of Nova Scotia, Marcel of Alberta, daughter-in-law Shelley of Kincardine, Rhonda (Joe) Camlis of Stoney Point, and Lyse (Bill) Stormont of Kirkland Lake.
Greatly missed by 15 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
Predeceased by her husband, Andrew, in 2020; her son, Andy, in 2024; and her daughter-in-law, Karen, in 2011. Also predeceased by her four brothers, Robert, Gordon, Burt and Jack.
Isabel always had a smile to greet anyone she met. She adored her family with all her heart. She and Andrew enjoyed many hours with the “Tim Horton Gang,” some of whom became family. Shirley Colquhoun was one of those special people.
When the time came to downsize, Isabel and Andrew chose Rosewood RVilla in Ripley as their retirement home.
Our family extends a heartfelt thank you to staff and residents of RVilla for their special care and kindness to make our mother’s final years without our father, the best she could have hoped for. Our mom also thoroughly enjoyed the many activities that RVilla provided.
Following Isabel’s wishes, cremation has taken place. Arrangements entrusted to the MacKenzie and McCreath Funeral Home, Ripley.
