Michelle Ferris of Glammis remembered for her love of Arabian horses, and crafting
Michelle Arlene Ferris (nee Cuthbertson) of Glammis died, surrounded by the love of her family, Monday, May 5, 2025, at the South Bruce Grey Health Centre, Walkerton, in her 76th year, after complications related to cancer.
Beloved wife of Donald; and mother of Pat (Gerry) Gras, Steven (Emily), both of Glammis, and Robyn (Bill) Raynault of Abbotsford, British Columbia.
Grandmother of Anthony (Jeanine), Christopher (Shareen and Barry), Gregory (Rhya), Tristan, Trent, Sarah, Wyatt, and Nella; and great-grandmother of Abigail, Marcus, Emerson, Morgan and Adrian.
Michelle will be missed by her siblings, Michael Cuthbertson of Guelph, and Lee (Susie) of Drayton; and sister-in-law, Hazel Ferris of Glammis.
Predeceased by her son, Allen Ferris; sister-in-law, Susan Cuthbertson; brother-in-law Jim Ferris; and parents, Lionel and Patricia (nee Butterfield) Cuthbertson.
Michelle was a breeder of Arabian horses for many years and loved them dearly. She was a stay-at-home mom while her children were growing up, and then got into driving dump trucks in her husband’s construction business for a number of years before retiring.
She will also be remembered for her love of crafting. She created cards, bead work and diamond art. She loved attending weekend events with her crafting friends.
Michelle had a great sense of humour and her family and friends will miss her wisdom and kindheartedness.
A celebration of life for Michelle will be held at a later date and details will be announced when available.
