Condolences go out to the Ruetz family of Tiverton on the passing of their mother, Barbara, Jan. 1, 2015.
 

The Tiverton Agricultural Society will be taking part in the Winterfest weekend coming up on Feb. 7-8. On Saturday, Feb. 7, at the Whitney Crawford Community Centre, the organization will be hosting a Euchre Party from 1-4 p.m. Admission is $4 - good Cash Prizes, lunch. On Sunday, Feb. 8, from 2-5 p.m. there will be “local entertainment” at the Whitney Crawford Community Centre followed by a hot meal of ham and scalloped potatoes, and homemade pies. Come out and enjoy the music, listen or get up and dance to our local entertainers. Everyone welcome.
 

New phone books are out but don’t throw away your old ones. It seems there are quite a few names missing in the new one.

For anyone living on Lake Street in Inverhuron, Lake Street will now be plowed in the winter. In the past, the year-round residents had it plowed at their expense.

TIVERTON LIONS CLUB AND BOSTON PIZZA

The Tiverton Lions Club and Boston Pizza are working together to raise funds to help ship 500 bicycles to an under-developed country in the spring. 

PIZZA for PEDALS

The Lions clubs of District A9 are collecting 500 bicycles to be sent to a developing country next spring. We are well on our way to achieving that objective. The next phase is to raise funds to ship the container, about $5,000.
The Tiverton Lions and Boston Pizza in Kincardine have teamed up to raise some of these funds. When dining at this restaurant, look for our clear plastic container identified with the Cycle/Recycle logo and deposit your restaurant receipt. Boston Pizza will then donate 10 per cent of those receipts for this project.
In the near future, the Tiverton Lions will host an evening at Boston Pizza and, once again, the restaurant will donate 10 per cent of those sales to our efforts. Thanks for considering our project.
