Ripley Lions' Golf for a Cause raises $14,000 for Huron Shores Hospice, Kincardine Hospital
The Ripley and District Lions have raised $14,000 for Huron Shores Hospice and the Kincardine and Community Health Care Foundation, through the annual Golf for a Cause tournament, held Friday, at Ainsdale Golf Course.
There were 128 golfers, and the weather co-operated except for the final four or five holes. Some golfers declared a rain delay and headed for the club house!
This year, several members of the hospital foundation ran
the putting contest (above) and the club was delighted to have their assistance.
The Lions are happy to organize things that make a difference in our community.
The Ripley Lions appreciate all the supporters, participants and sponsors of the event, some of whom have been part of it since it began four years ago.
